Halo Girlfriend emerged after Kathleen Leonard, founder and creator, experienced severe hair damage from straightening her hair.

Kathleen’s hair began to shed at an alarming rate and as she assessed the damage, Kathleen was dismayed to find that half of her hair had fallen out. She knew she needed to let her hair grow out but she also missed the length and style she had previously. Motivated to create a solution, Halo Girlfriend was born.
